Frequently Asked Questions

v1.0

General

What is Algotradium?

Algotradium is a comprehensive trading strategy lab where users can design strategies using no‑code indicator forms or Python code, backtest them on different assets, fine‑tune parameters, generate automated signals, and buy/sell strategies in the marketplace.

Do I need to pay to use the platform?

No. All features — including strategy builder, backtesting, paper trading, and marketplace browsing — are available for free with some minor limitation you can find in our upgrade tab in the application. The only paid features are signal generator bots, which require a Basic or Pro subscription. Subscriptions are optional. Detailed feature comparisons are displayed on the upgrade tab. Non‑refundable

Marketplace & Strategy Types

What is the difference between Open and Locked strategies?

Open strategies give you full access to the setup and/or code — you can view, edit, and modify them. Locked strategies hide the underlying code; you cannot view or edit them. Locked strategies are beneficial for Basic/Pro subscribers who want to run a signal generator bot. See /learn for details.

Can I get a refund for a marketplace purchase?

Generally no. Marketplace purchases are non‑refundable. The only exception is if a strategy contains a material error or misrepresentation attributable to our Platform's fault (e.g., incorrect listing information posted by us). In that case, submit a support ticket and we will investigate. See Terms of Service Section 4.5

What happens if I upgrade from Basic to Pro?

Your remaining days on the Basic plan do not carry over or get credited toward your Pro subscription. Upon upgrading, your new Pro term begins immediately, and any unused time on your previous plan is forfeited.

Can I sell my own strategies on the marketplace?

Yes. Users retain ownership of their intellectual property. By listing a strategy, you grant the Platform a license to display and deliver it to purchasers. You must accurately represent your strategy (open/locked status, functionality, parameters) and agree to the Platform's commission/fee structure. You should also provide enough backtest results for a listed strategy so that users can see the strategy performance in detail. Just note that listing strategies in the store is a Pro feature for some algotraders with proven skills. You should submit a ticket asking to be a seller on the platfom.

Payments & Refunds

What cryptocurrencies do you accept?

We accept major cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, USDT, and others. The available coins are displayed during checkout. All payments are processed through NOWPayments, a secure crypto gateway.

Are subscription payments refundable?

No. All subscription payments are final and non‑refundable. By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that you have had ample opportunity to test all free features and have read the learn page thoroughly.

How do I request a refund for a platform error?

If you believe a marketplace purchase contains a material error due to our Platform's fault, submit a support ticket detailing the error. We will investigate and, if verified, process a refund in the original cryptocurrency. Refund decisions are at our sole discretion

Technical & Usage

What is paper trading and is it free?

Paper trading is a simulation environment that mirrors live market conditions without real financial risk. It is free for all users. Results achieved in paper trading do not guarantee similar results in live trading.

How do signal generator bots work?

Signal generator bots are available to Basic and Pro subscribers. They generate buy/sell signals based on configured strategies and deliver notifications via Telegram. Signals are algorithmic created based on your setup in specific built strategy and may contain errors or delays — you should not rely exclusively on them.

Can I use Python to code my strategies?

Yes. The strategy builder supports both no‑code indicator forms and Python code. You can write custom scripts and backtest them on historical data. Some usefull indicator libraries like Pandas-ta is already iported and you can use its indicators in the code. You can also define your custom indicators ans entry/exit conditions. Switch seamlessly between modes

You retain ownership of strategies you create. For open strategies you list on the marketplace, you grant the Platform a license to display and deliver them. Locked strategies are protected — you agree not to reverse engineer or extract their code.
